Vinification: very slow pressing and light
decanting (research on potential). Production is evaluated for one year
with sparing ventilation. Bottling is done in the following September
Tasting notes: A persistent, brilliant and
limpid yellow, a thick disk and generous legs. At the first nose a
little discreet in terms of aroma and freshness, juicy fruits: pear and
peach… Second 'reading' is more expressive to stewed fruit flavours.
Seducing mouthfeel, rich and fresh at the same time.
Potential ageing: Very pleasant when young,
Le Couteaux du Layon Rablay “Le Clos de la Girardière” can be kept for
ten years.
