Vinification of the "Fragrance" wine
very slow pressing and light
decanting (research on potential). Long fermentation in oak barrels-to
continue privileging the harmonious expressions of aromas, volume and
structure. Later the production, which is in oak barrels, is evaluated
for 18 months.
Tasting notes of the "Fragrance" wine
This wine presents an aromatic
characteristic of botrytized harvest. The mouth is at times filled,
delicate, complex and has a sensation of crunching all sort of dried,
candied fruits. We find, as well, some tobacco and spicy taste. A lovely
balance that associates the freshness, sweetness, delicacy and richness
of the wine.
Potential ageing of the "Fragrance" wine
Having such great richness,
the Couteaux du Layon "Fragrance", is a great wine of storage.
